Ordinal Numbers
These are much easier because they behave like standard adjectives.
Compound Ordinals: Unlike cardinal numbers, in a compound ordinal (like "154th"), only the last word changes its ending.

| пять 5 | пя́тый 5th | The fifth lesson was hard. |
| шесть 6 | шесто́й 6th | He came in sixth. |
| семь 7 | седьмо́й 7th | The seventh room is occupied. |
| во́семь 8 | восьмо́й 8th | The eighth bus already left. |
| де́вять 9 | девя́тый 9th | Ninth grade. |
| де́сять 10 | деся́тый 10th | This is my tenth project. |
| оди́ннадцать 11 | оди́ннадцатый 11th | The 11th bus was late. |
| двена́дцать 12 | двена́дцатый 12th | This is my 12th project. |
| два́дцать 20 | двадца́тый 20th | The twentieth century. |
| со́рок 40 | сороково́й 40th | The fortieth day. |
| сто 100 | со́тый 100th | I'm explaining it for the hundredth time. |
