Usage info
This verb is about the physical process of hanging something up like a coat or a picture. It is not to be confused with висеть - повисеть which is about something that is already hanging/dangling.
Examples
- Он пове́сил на сте́ну карти́нку.He hung a picture on the wall.
- Том пове́сил на сте́ну календа́рь.Tom hung a calendar on the wall.
