Database access for programmers

OpenRussian.org is Open Source: We provide our full database of words, translations and declensions because we believe this should be a public good. If you develop websites or applications you can use our dataset to create custom programs.

The database is a combination of publicly available data as well as user contributions. All strings are in UTF-8 format. The dumps are freshly produced every night. The audio samples are not included but rather links to files on the server and are NOT Open because of possible copyright issues.

Our database can be viewed and exported on the wonderful TogetherDB online database.

Please note that all data is licensed under the CC BY-SA license. This basically means you can use the data in any way you want (also commercially) as long as you mention the source(s) and if you do modifications, make them public under the same license. CC BY-SA
