He pushed the rock off the cliff.
Usually with с + genitive: с обрыва, с крыльца.
2.
to push together, to knock together, to cause to collide
Он случа́йно столкну́л две теле́жки.
He accidentally knocked two carts together.
3.
to set at odds, to bring into conflict, to pit against each other
Спор столкну́л ста́рых друзе́й.
The argument set the old friends at odds.
Often столкнуть лбами 'make two people clash'.
