(rare) to divide up completely, to share out entirely
Бра́тья передели́ли ме́жду собо́й всё насле́дство.
The brothers divided up the whole inheritance between them.
The prefix пере- here stresses that the whole lot gets divided.

They decided to redistribute the land among all the peasants.
Власти хотят переделить участки заново.
The authorities want to redistribute the plots of land.

The inheritance was divided up again after a long dispute.
