I wouldn't want to take the matter to court.
Usually with «до» + genitive: доводить до слёз, до совершенства.

Every morning he walks the children to school.

Она́ всегда́ дово́дит рабо́ту до конца́.
She always finishes what she starts.

доводи́ть is derived from the multidirectional verb of motion води́ть with prefix до- (reach).
