I spent all my money on presents.
Perfective; used of money, time, energy or materials. The thing bought or the purpose takes на + accusative.

to waste, to squander, to fritter away
Мы зря потра́тили це́лый день.
We wasted a whole day for nothing.
Often with зря or напрасно ('for nothing').
