Ничего́ не поде́лаешь, придётся ждать.
There's nothing you can do, we'll have to wait.
Almost only in fixed phrases: что поделаешь? / ничего не поделаешь - expressing resignation or inevitability.

to do a bit of, to do for a while
Он успе́л что́-то поде́лать по до́му.
He managed to get a bit done around the house.
Usage info
поде́лать is not a neutral synonym of сде́лать or де́лать, but more idiomatic, often shading toward manage to do or be able to do anything (about something).
Examples
Ничего не поде́лаешь, Тома не переубеди́шь.
It's no use. Tom can't be swayed.
Я что-нибудь ещё поде́лаю.
I'm going to do something else.
