She always adds a little sugar to her tea.
Imperfective; perfective прибавить.

to increase, to pick up (speed), to gain (weight)
Он прибавля́л ша́гу, что́бы не опозда́ть.
He was quickening his pace so as not to be late.
Often with the genitive: прибавлять шагу 'quicken one's pace'.
3.
to add, to add upmathematics
В пе́рвом кла́ссе у́чатся прибавля́ть и вычитать.
In first grade children learn to add and subtract.
