1.
(rare) to put up to, to incite, to prompt (secretly)
Он постоя́нно поду́чивал свои́х друзе́й на ша́лости.
He was constantly putting his friends up to mischief.
Imperfective; usually with на + accusative or an infinitive. Colloquial.
2.
(rare) to teach a little, to give some instruction, to coach a bit
Я поду́чивал его игре́ на гита́ре.
I gave him a little instruction in playing the guitar.
Imperfective; the prefix по- suggests a modest amount of teaching.

Examples

Кто-то подучивал детей говорить неправду.
Someone was prompting the children to lie.
Она подучивала подругу перед экзаменом по грамматике.
She coached her friend before the grammar exam.
Старший брат подучивал его перед контрольной.
His older brother coached him before the test.
