He has been driving a car for ten years.
Of a habitual activity or skill; водить самолёт = to fly a plane.

Экскурсово́д во́дит тури́стов по музе́ю.
The guide shows tourists around the museum.
Multidirectional: of repeated or habitual trips, on foot or by vehicle.

to fool, to mislead, to string along
Он во́дит её за нос.
He is stringing her along.
Figurative; mainly in водить за нос 'to lead by the nose'.
Motion info
вести́/води́ть is a verb of motion pair:
· вести́ is unidirectional → go right now or in a specific single trip.
· води́ть is multidirectional → habitual movement, repeated trips, or there-and-back movement.
вести́/води́ть are both imperfective and thus focus on the process. Use the perfective aspect partner instead if you want to describe a completed action.
