Often of sounds, smells or light objects moved by wind or water.

Reading the old letters, he was transported back to his childhood.
Usually with мысленно and a destination in time or place.

to be postponed, to be rescheduled, to be moved (to another date)
Встре́ча перено́сится на сле́дующую неде́лю.
The meeting is being moved to next week.
- 4.
to be relocated, to be moved (to another place)
Реда́кция перено́сится в новое зда́ние.
The editorial office is moving to a new building.
Examples

People find it difficult to cope with being cut off from the group.
