to give a drink to, to water (animals), to give someone something to drink
Она́ напои́ла ребёнка тёплым молоко́м.
She gave the child some warm milk to drink.
Perfective of поить; used both of people and of livestock.
2.
to get someone drunk, to ply with drink, to make drunk
Друзья́ напои́ли его на дне рожде́ния.
His friends got him drunk at the birthday party.
"Ply with drink" and "abfüllen" are colloquial.

Examples
