Usage info

In the UK, 'занавеска' are 'net curtains', 'voiles' etc. They are lightweight, and transparent. They are not closed on a night. Don't confuse these with 'Шторы', which in the UK are the traditional full curtain, which are not transparent and are closed on a night.
