Imperfective of пробежать; often with мимо + genitive.

Every evening we run through the park.

He runs ten kilometres a day.
Of a distance or a set course.

skim, scan, glance over
Утром я быстро пробега́ю глазами газету.
In the morning I quickly skim the newspaper.
Usually пробегать глазами (with one's eyes).

Motion info

пробега́ть is derived from the multidirectional verb of motion бе́гать with prefix про- (pass through).

Диста́нция, кото́рую он пробегал, была́ гораздо больше, чем ожидалось.
The distance he ran was much greater than had been expected.
Он пробегает стометровку за 12 секу́нд.
He can run 100 meters in 12 seconds.
Том ежедневно пробегает по десять километров.
Tom runs ten kilometers every day.
Я ежедневно пробегаю по десять километров.
I run ten kilometers a day.
Том пробегает три-четыре ми́ли в день.
